On August 28, Power Rangers Day, Hasbro announced season 30 of Power Rangers would be called Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury and it would mark a huge change for the franchise. First, fans have known about the name for a little bit thanks to a leak so that wasn’t too surprising. However, the part that got many, including myself, excited was a return to the original Zordon era where the cast is not changing for the new season. The Rangers from Dino Fury will continue their journey in Cosmic Fury which is the first time since the Zordon era that Rangers have moved beyond their 1-2-season series. Although I haven’t been able to watch Dino Fury yet (I’m finishing up Jungle Fury), I’ve heard great things about the cast so this is exciting. The returning cast members include Russell Curry, Hunter Deno, Jordon Fite, Kai Moya, Chance Perez, and Tessa Rao with Simon Bennett returning as showrunner and Becca Barnes and Alywn Dale returning as writers. Talking about what I’m calling a return to form, Bennett said:

Since the first episode of Power Rangers Dino Fury, this team of Power Rangers has broken the mold of the franchise in many ways, so it is exciting and humbling to be able to continue the story of these characters in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. Power Rangers Dino Fury Season 2 ends with some big revelations, and we’re so grateful to Hasbro and eOne that we get to continue to tell these stories in a brand new way.

We don’t know much about the story other than “The adventure [of Dino Fury] continues in “Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury,” with the team heading out to space!” I guess we’ll get more clues as season two of Dino Fury concludes at the end of September. You can watch the first season and the first half of season two of Dino Fury on Netflix now with the second half of season two releasing on September 29. Cosmic Fury will launch in Fall 2023.
