Brendan Gleeson is joining Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in director Todd Phillips’ Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux. Gleeson is such a great actor, and this Joker sequel will be better because of his involvement. We have no idea who he’ll be playing in the Warner Bros. and DC film, but we all know that whatever role it is, he’ll be great!
Zazie Beetz is also set to reprise her role as Sophie Dumond in the movie. We don’t know much about the story for the sequel, but what we do know is that it will be a musical that will mostly be set in Arkham Asylum. Also, the film’s working title, Joker: Folie à Deux, refers to the clinical term for the “shared madness,” hallucinations, and delusions of two people.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on October 4th, 2024. Production is expected to get underway this December and I can’t wait to see what this Joker sequel ends up being.
