Disney dropped the new trailer for Season 3 of The Mandalorian this past weekend at their D23 Convention, and it was awesome! This next chapter of the story sees Mando (Pedro Pascal) stepping into a leadership position, and Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) is dealing with the disappointment of not taking back the Darksaber. Din Djarin and Grogu are off to Mandalore in hopes that he will be "forgiven for his transgressions."
Katee Sackhoff recently sat down with Phase Zero host Brandon Davis at the convention, and when asked if the trailer was a good representation of season 3, she said:
"It's so funny because I think that the trailer at [Star Wars] Celebration was a little different, but it was very much the same tone, so that's all that matters. I think that it's accurate in the sense that you're going to have a lot of Mandos running around as witnessed and we're going to get to know a little bit more about that and that's exciting. I spent a lot of time with him this season and it's fun. He's a good co-star."
Sackhoff also talked about how her co-stars have become her real-life friends, and how the cast keeps in touch between filming:
"Dave [Filoni] and I text quite a bit. it's usually about our pets though. Emily [Swallow] and I see each other quite a bit, and Giancarlo [Esposito], and I just love to spend time with the people that I work with when you truly love the people that you work with and that's what we have, so it's great."
It sounds like she has fit right into the cast, and we will really get to see some cool stuff from her character this season. The Mandalorian wrapped filming on its third season in March. It is expected to debut on Disney+ in February 2023.
