Netflix has released an awesome new trailer for Guillermo del Toro‘s upcoming horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities! Damn… this looks like it going to be a great series filled with creepy-ass horrific stories!

This trailer teases some of the chilling and twisted nightmares and violent delights of the show. The series will consist of eight blood-curdling tales of horror, and these sinister stories are told by some of today’s most revered horror creators.

The stories in Cabinet of Curiosities are “meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, the eight sinister tales — including two original works by del Toro — will be brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by the Shape of Water filmmaker.”

Del Toro said in a statement: “With Cabinet of Curiosities, we set out to showcase the realities existing outside of our normal world: the anomalies and curiosities. We hand-picked and curated a group of stories and storytellers to deliver these tales, whether they come from outer space, supernatural lore, or simply within our minds. Just in time for Halloween, each of these eight tales is a fantastical peek inside the cabinet of delights existing underneath the reality we live in.”

The tiles of the segments in the horror event include Lot36, Graveyeard Rats, The Outside, The Autopsy, Pickman’s Model, Dream in the Witch House, The Murmuring, and The Viewing.

The writers and directors who will contribute to the series include Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), David Pryor (The Empty Man), Guillermo Navarro (Narcos), Keith Thomas (Firestarter), Panos Cosmatos (Mandy), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Vincenzo Natali (Cube), and Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night).

The series also features an impressive cast that includes Andrew Lincoln, Ben Barnes, Essie Davis, Crispin Glover, Eric André, Sofia Boutella, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Rupert Grint, Kate Micucci, and Charlyne Yi. Other actors who were previously announced include F. Murray Abraham, Luke Roberts, Tim Blake Nelson, Hannah Galway, Glynn Turman, Elpidia Carrillo, Demetrius Grosse, Sebastian Roché, Peter Weller, and David Hewlett.

Del Toro co-showruns Cabinet of Curiosities with J. Miles Dale. The series will debut on October 25th and I can’t wait to watch it!
