Neil Marshall, the director of films such as The Descent, Dog Soldiers, and Doomsday, has made a new creature feature titled The Lair. Marshall wrote and directed the film, and it’s great to see that he’s going back to his horror roots to make something dark and scary.

In the film, “When Royal Air Force pilot Lt. Kate Sinclair is shot down over Afghanistan, she finds refuge in an abandoned underground bunker where deadly man-made biological weapons – half human, half alien – are awakened.”

The bunker was formerly used by the Russians to experiment with alien DNA, and the result of that is a pretty terrifying-looking creature! This movie looks like a fun flick that will be filled with lots of action, blood, and gore.

The movie stars Charlotte Kirk, Jonathan Howard, Jamie Bamber, Tanji Kibong, Leon Ockenden, Mark Strepan, Troy Alexander, Hadi Khanjanpour, and Harry Taurasi.

RLJE Films and Shudder will release The Lair in select US theaters and on VOD starting on October 28th, 2022.
