I’ve got a clip here for you to watch for a creepy and intense-looking horror thriller titled Significant Other, which is coming to Paramount+. I’m actually looking forward to this movie as it boasts a great cast with Maika Monroe (It Follows, The Stranger) and Jake Lacy (The Office, The White Lotus), and it looks like it tells a good sinister horror story!
The story follows “a young couple (Maika Monroe & Jake Lacy) who take a remote backpacking trip through the Pacific Northwest and face sinister events leading them to realize that everything about the place is not as it seems.”
The clip focuses on a point when the couple gets separated at night and Harry wanders off into the dark in hopes of finding Ruth. The whole tone of it is very uneasy and anxious as Harry is slowly walking through the wood with his lantern. There are eerie noises heard as he travels through the darkness of the woods. It seems like there’s something stalking him. It definitely builds the tension!
The cast also includes Teal Sherer and Loudon McCleery. The film is written and directed by filmmakers Dan Berk and Robert Olsen (Body, The Stakelander, Villains).
Significant Other comes from directing duo Dan Berk and Robert Olsen who last brought audiences the comedic horror Villains in 2019. The movie will hit Paramount+ on October 7th. Checkout the clip and the trailer below!
