To hell with “all is calm”! Universal Pictures has released the trailer for its upcoming Christmas action thriller Violent Night. The movie comes from the producers who brought us Nobody, John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Bullet Train and Hobbs & Shaw, and it’s described as a “coal-dark holiday action-comedy that says you should always bet on red.”
David Harbour (Stranger Things) takes on the role of Santa Claus in the movie, and he ends up in a crazy situation where he finds himself brutally kicking all kinds of ass.
In the film, “When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.”
The film also stars John Leguizamo (John Wick), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones) and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise).
The movie was directed by Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snowfranchise), and it will be released in theaters on December 2nd!
