Disney+ has cast Rachael Harris (Lucifer) in the upcoming series adaptation of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps. She joins the previously cast Justin Long (Barbarian), and it was also announced that Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Zack Morris, and Isa Briones have also joined the series.
The teen horror-comedy follows “a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together – thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries, and pasts with each other – in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.”
I kind of just wish they would do this as an anthology series like the original ‘90s show, where each episode tells a different story. But, what can you do!? Disney’s not gonna listen to me.
Rob Letterman, who directed the 2015 Goosebumps movie, is directing the first episode of the Disney+ series. He’s also set to write and executive produce. Nick Stoller will also write and executive produce the show.
