As you may have heard, Rick and Morty is taking a little hiatus for a few weeks before it returns with new Season 6 episodes. But, it’s just been confirmed that we will be getting a Rick and Morty Halloween Special that will drop on October 30th on Adult Swim.

The special will be stop-motion animated and it was created by Lee Hardcastle, who is known for his crazy and wild stop-motion animated shorts. I enjoy his stuff, so I’m excited to see what he ends up bringing to the Rick and Morty universe! This will be the first time the animated series gets a Halloween episode, which is fun.

The special is titled "Summer's Sleepover", and the official description for the Halloween short from Rick And Morty reads: "An unexpected guest livens up Summer's sleepover party in this trippy horror short from Claymation filmmaker Lee Hardcastle."

Hardcastle has previously created stop-motion shorts inspired by The Thing, The Fly, Halloween, Poltergeist, Re-Animator, Gremlins, Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, Blade Runner, E.T., The Matrix, and more.

For those of you who are waiting for the next new episode of Rick And Morty, the animated series will return to Adult Swim on Sunday, November 20th.
