The Flash has yet to be released by Warner Bros. but according to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, plans for a sequel are already underway. If the first film actually blows up at the box office, like everyone expects, there’s already a script for The Flash 2 written and ready to go.

This script was written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick who previously co-wrote Aquaman, Aquaman 2, Orphan, Red Riding Hood, and Wrath of The Titans

The big question is if they did move forward with a Flash sequel, would they actually bring back Ezra Miller to reprise their role in the film? They’re currently facing up to 26 years in prison for burglary into an occupied home and petit larceny. But, if they actually manage to get out of that, would WB even still want to work with them? Probably not.

I have a feeling that whatever happens with the future of The Flash franchise it won’t involve Miller. Per Deadline, a source shared that the studio "won't likely keep Miller in the Flash role in future DC films." But who knows, crazier things have happened in Hollywood. I just think the studio would face some heavy backlash if they did work with Miller again on a new film.

With the whole DC multiverse thing going on, it wouldn’t be too difficult to replace Miller with another actor.

The Flash is set to be released on June 23rd, 2023.
