With the 2023 awards season coming up, Disney Studios has released its list of For Your Consideration movies, and Marvel Studios pushing Thor: Love and Thunder for some big Oscar nominations! These nominations include Best Picture, Best Director (Taika Waititi), Best Actor (Chris Hemsworth), Best Actress (Natalie Portman), Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Visual Effects.
I thought that these nominations were absolutely hilarious! Even if you enjoyed the movie, it’s got to be funning to see that Marvel is pushing a Thor: Love and Thunder Oscar campaign for these nominations that it doesn’t have a chance of landing.
Oh, that’s not all though, as a bonus, Marvel is also pushing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever for the same exact categories! My favorite of all three of these films is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but it’s laughable to me that even that’s being pushed! Bless Marvel’s heart. Maybe some of the nominations for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever have a chance as it was the most dramatic movie from Marvel this year.
