There’s been a lot of talk about Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story recently and a possible sequel. Director Ron Howard recently explained he doesn’t have a say in if the sequel happens or not, and Emila Clarke is open to returning, but as of right now, she hasn’t been approached to play her character Qi’ra again.
Now Alden Ehrenreich, who played young Han Solo in the Star Wars prequel wasasked if he would return to the franchise, he said he’d be happy to. While talking to Indiewire, he said:
“The story that I did, I really got to be Han Solo at the end. That’s kind of the arc of the story, which I thought was well done. That’s the fun part. That’s the guy that’s the most fun to be. I’d be very happy to, but who knows.”
Chances are that Solo sequel isn’t coming, which is a shame. It set up some really cool things to explore. But who knows, maybe some of those things will be explored in Donald Glover’s Lando series.
I actually liked Ehrenreich in the role of Han Solo, and I wouldn’t mind seeing him return, then you look at what they did with the visual effects of young Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian and the de-aging of Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5 and they can have the real Han Solo back. It’s so crazy!
