The final Star Wars trilogy, titled “The Skywalker Saga,” underwhelmed fans, to say the least. Many would say that the lack of story cohesion throughout the three films was its undoing. There were underutilized characters and storylines that fans could see clearly, and no one could make sense of why we got the films we did, especially when there were beloved books that had clear plotlines that many fans would have liked to have seen play out on screen. The films were visually stunning, but without the heart of the original three, or even the prequels, which some fans found a new appreciate for after all was said and done.

We know we haven’t seen the end of the Star Wars universe, but we don’t know yet what the future of the franchise will look like. One actor from the most recent films would love to return to her character if given the chance though, and that is Daisy Ridley, whose Rey was at the center of those films.

In a recent interview with IMDb at Sundance's Acura Festival Village, Ridley was asked about her willingness to return, and she said:

"I mean, I'm open to a phone call. I'm looking for employment!"

Ridley was also asked what Rey scene she was most proud of across the three movies, and she responded:

"The thing that springs to mind is in Star Wars: The Force Awakens...with Harrison Ford, the little-known actor. He gave me the gun and I say something like, 'I can take care of myself.' I was so nervous that when I was doing it I was like, 'Oh my God, it's Harrison Ford.' So I was proud that I got through the thing and seemed fairly casual."

What do you think? Would you be interested in seeing her character return, or any of the others from the last few films?

Ridley can be seen next in Sometimes I Think About Dying, a romantic dramedy that had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
