Morgan Freeman is the latest big actor to join the cast of Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Paramount+ series Lioness.
The series is based on a real-life CIA program and the story follows “Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira), a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within.”
Freeman will take on the role of Edwin Mullins, the United States Secretary of State in the show. He is joined by the already cast Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Jill Wagner, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Hannah Love Lanier, Stephanie Nur, and Jonah Wharton.
Freeman is a Hollywood legend and an incredible actor. It’s great to see him land a role in a Taylor Sheridan project.
