Here’s a new clip from John Wick: Chapter 4 for you to watch! It’s titled “Rule of Engagement” and it features Keanu Reeves as John Wick and Bill Skarsgård as Marquis de Gramont negotiating the terms of their duel to the death. The scene is set in Paris with The High Table’s Clancy Brown overseeing the negotiation.
In the film, “John Wick uncovers a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.”
Skarsgård’s character is described as a "viciously ambitious" individual looking to make a name for himself. The actor previously said: "The Marquis is a young man of unknown origin who has quickly climbed the ladder within the High Table doing god knows what. I always saw him as someone from the gutter that now savors the glittery suits he’s wearing. He functions as the new sheriff set out to rid the world of John Wick once and for all. "ohn’s getting old and tired, the Marquis is offering him a way out. To be the one who finally kills the Baba Yaga would secure his status and power within the High Table."
Obviously, the Marquis doesn’t really know what he’s up against. But, he can sure make Wick’s life a living hell with the "bureaucratic evils" of the High Table by enforcing and manipulating the arbitrary rules of the system.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is being helmed by Chad Stahelski, and the cast also includes Donnie Freakin’ Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Clancy Brown, Ian McShane, and Bill Skarsgard as the sinister main villain.
The movie is currently scheduled to open in theaters on March 24th, 2023.
