I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but the director of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, Sean Kirkpatrick, recently said that there may be extraterrestrial motherships in our solar system sending probes to the planets. His exact quote was:

“[A]n artificial interstellar object could potentially be a parent craft that releases many small probes during its close passage to Earth, an operational construct not too dissimilar from NASA missions.

“With proper design, these tiny probes would reach the Earth or other solar system planets for exploration, as the parent craft passes by within a fraction of the Earth-Sun separation — just like ‘Oumuamua’ did. Astronomers would not be able to notice the spray of mini-probes because they do not reflect enough sunlight for existing survey telescopes to notice them.”

So, if one day aliens actually arrive and steps onto the planet, Keanu Reeves is the one that wants to be the first human to talk to them! During a Reddit AMA, Reeves was asked a ton of questions and one of them, asked if he’d be he'd be willing to be the first communicator between aliens and the human race, and this was his response:

"Heck yea, how's it going? How was your trip? You hungry? Want anything to drink?"

Sounds like some pretty simple and safe conversation starter questions. NASA officials previously revealed a potential plan if we do come in contact with aliens. NASA official Lori Glaze told Business Insider:

"You can't overstate just how important that discovery would be. How we're going to confirm that and announce it responsibly, I think is a really, really important question. The biggest challenge is trying to keep that communication on an even keel, right? With an excitement, and yet also understanding that we need to set the expectations that we have to follow the scientific process."

So, now we just wait to see what happens! I don’t know, if aliens did land, I just imagine it will all play out like Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks. That’s just how wacky the world is right now.
