Chris Pratt is nearing the release of his final performance as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, in the James Gunn-directed Marvel franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Fans are bummed to see the final chapter close on the films, and we can tell the final film is going to be rough. Aside from the haunting soundtrack, and the promise of tears from the director and cast members, we got a little glimpse at at least one of the scenes that may cause some feels in the trailer. In the shot, we see the team walking, and Nebula is carrying what appears to be Peter's lifeless body. We have no context for if this is real or a dream, if he’s injured or dead, or what exactly is going on. But the inclusion of the scene was apparently rough for Peter Quill actor, Chris Pratt.

In a recent interview with Fandango (via CB), Pratt revealed that they used a lifelike dummy version of his character to film the scene and it was so accurate it was eerie. Pratt said:

"They made an incredibly lifelike full-scale doll that she could carry specifically for that scene and in the scene, well, let's just say it doesn't look like I'm awake. Am I dead? Am I asleep? Who knows? But she's carrying this essentially lifeless body."

He went on to talk about how detailed the doll was and revealed that seeing it for the first time was a surreal experience, one that he hopes no one else ever experiences.

"It was so lifelike that literally like the first time I walked in and saw it lying there because it has this dead kind of vibe. I had a bit of a visceral reaction as if I was standing over myself. It was the strangest thing to see an incredibly lifelike but dead version of yourself is something that I hope no one here ever sees because I think it would mean that you're dead and you're floating over your body and you're now in limbo."

That must have been super weird! Actors have some pretty unique experiences in movie-making, and this is one of those occurrences. I can’t wait to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in theaters May 5th. Are you getting pumped for this movie?
