Netflix released a full trailer for writer and director Rian Johnson’s upcoming whodunit murder mystery movie, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. This next film in the Knives Out franchise looks incredibly fun! Johnson is so good at telling these kinds of stories. It’s what he’s always been good at with other films like Brick and The Brothers Bloom. Glass Onion looks like it’s going to deliver some awesome entertainment!
In this story, Daniel Craig’s Southern detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece after a tech billionaire named Miles Bron invites his friends for a getaway on his private Greek island, where someone is murdered. Blanc is put on the case to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects.
The colorful suspects are played by Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline, with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista. I’m excited about watching this film! The first one was incredibly entertaining, and it looks like this sequel will be at least just as good.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is the first of two sequels and it will be released in select US theaters first on November 23rd and it will run through the 29th. It will then stream on Netflix on December 23rd, 2022.
