Stranger Things is the most-watched streaming series of all time, according to the Nielsen ratings system, and it’s no surprise. Since the first season dropped in 2016, viewers could tell that this was a special show that we would be die-hard for until the end. That end is near, with Season 5 on the horizon, and one of the show’s stars has confirmed when it will start shooting.
In a recent Instagram Live, actor Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers in the series, was asked by a fan if his University of Pennsylvania school schedule would conflict with shooting the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. He responded that there would be no crossover, as he both finishes school and begins production of the fifth season in May of this year.
The final season is not expected to air on Netflix until some time in 2024. We don’t know a ton yet about how the story will wrap up, but Schnapp previously said:
"I can just tell you that I'm very very excited for what's to come. I think they did a great job with Will's character this season, and beautifully addressed everything they needed to. The way they closed the show is just perfect -- the story started with Will, and it'll end with Will."
Seasons 1-4 are available to binge on Netflix, and we will let you know as soon as Season 5 has a release date.
