Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for its original film Tetris. It was inspired by the true story behind the video game sensation, and who would have thought it would be so thrilling!? Taron Egerton (Rocketman) plays American video game salesman Henk Rogers, who he risked his life to outsmart the KGB and introduce Tetris to the world.

The synopsis reads: "Based on the true story of American video game salesman Henk Rogers (Egerton) and his discovery of Tetris in 1988. When he sets out to bring the game to the world, he enters a dangerous web of lies and corruption behind the Iron Curtain."

I don’t know anything about the story behind Tetris, but after watching this trailer, I think I’m going to take a deep dive and do some research because this looks like it was a pretty insane experience for the people involved! The tagline for the film reads: “The game you couldn’t put down, the story you couldn’t make up.”

Tetris is directed by Jon S. Baird and written by Noah Pink. It was produced by Iain MacKenzie, Matthew Vaughn, Gillian Berrie, Claudia Vaughn, Len Blavatnik, and Gregor Cameron.

Tetris will be released next month on March 31st on Apple TV+.
