Everyone has their favorite big-screen version of Batman as the character has been played by multiple actors over the years, and for me, Michael Keaton is a favorite. I grew up on Keaton’s Batman, I still remember going to see Tim Burton’s movie for the first at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. That is one of my most memorable moviegoing experiences as a kid.

Well, according to a new study conducted by the home entertainment furniture company Valencia Theater Seating, Keaton is the most popular live-action Batman in America, at least among Twitter users. That data in the study was pulled from over 150,000 tweets, and the study found that Keaton was the top Batman in 23 states with Christian Bale coming in second with 18. Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson came in third and fourth respectively, and I guess there was no love for Adam West, Val Kilmer, and George Clooney.

It’s explained that the ranking is based on evaluating geo-tagged tweets from three months containing wording like "[Keaton/Bale/Clooney] is the best Batman," "best Batman," "GOAT Batman," and "best live-action Batman."

Michael Keaton is set to return as Batman in the upcoming The Flash movie and he’s the only reason I have any interest in watching that movie. When previously talking about returning to the role, Keaton said: "Frankly, in the back of my head, I always thought, 'I bet I could go back and nail that motherf**ker. And so, I thought, 'Well, now that they're asking me, let me see if I can pull that off.'"

He talked about stepping back in the role saying: "[It was] weirdly and ironically easy. A little bit emotional. Just a rush of memories. Without giving anything away, which I can't, basically the first shot, not of the entire movie but let's say the introduction [of Batman], is so good that when we walked on and started talking about a couple of shots and the angles, I went 'whoa, this is big. This is great.' I don't even mean for me. Just the imagery, it's great. And reminiscent, to some degree, of Tim Burton."

What do you think about this new study? Are you on team Keaton? If not who’s your favorite Batman?
