Ray Stevenson, the badass actor from films such as Punisher: War Zone and the upcoming Star Wars: Ahsoka series, has passed away, and he was only 58 years old. It seems like at 58 there’s still a long life ahead! No information or cause of death has been made available.
While the actor might be best known for his role as Frank Castle in Punisher: War Zone, he has over 60 credits in film and TV and has also appeared in projects such as Rome, King Arthur, Outpost, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, The Book of Eli, The Other Guys, Kill the Irishman, Thor, The Three Musketeers, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Thor: Dark World, Divergent, Big Game, The Transporter Refueled, Insurgent, Cold Skin, Thor: Ragnarok, Accident Man, Memory, and Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday.
Stevenson was most recently seen in the Academy Award-winning action movie RRR, playing the film’s central villain in the film. He will also be seen in Lucasfilm’s upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka, which he looks awesome in.
This is pretty shocking news and I’m sad to learn of his passing. He was such a great actor, though, and it was also fun to see him in the projects that he appeared in and he’s left behind a great legacy that fans will be able to continue to enjoy watching.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
