Who doesn’t enjoy eating candy?! There are all kinds of delicious candies for all kinds of different people with different tastes. There’s something for everyone, and a lot of us have great memories from the past of candy we enjoyed eating as kids. Some of those don’t exist anymore!
Rhetty for History, a nostalgic listmaker, recently looked back on the candies and candy bars that have been discontinued over the last century. It's fascinating to take a trip down memory lane and recall the sweets that used to be part of our childhood.
Some candies have stood the test of time and are still widely available, such as Hershey's Milk Chocolate and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. However, there are many candies that are long gone and have been forgotten by most people. Do you remember the Marathon bar? It was a braided caramel and chocolate bar that was quite popular in the 1970s and 1980s, but it disappeared in the early 1990s. Another candy that has been discontinued is the Reggie Bar, a chocolate bar named after baseball legend Reggie Jackson.
Some of the others included Hershey’s S’mores, PB Max, Nestle Alpine White, Seven Up, Bonkers, Rally, then there was the Chicken Dinner candy bar, and more! You can see all of them in the video.
It’s a lot of fun looking back at the candies that have been discontinued. While some of them have been forgotten, others are still fondly remembered by those who enjoyed them in their heyday.
There’s a lot of candy here that I’ve never tried that I would be interested in!
